View source for Fools or Holy Fools?

So, Iâ€™ve become aware of this whole â€œthe world might be ending soonâ€ thing quite recently, and I have to figure out where I come down on the matter pretty quickly.  My reasoning so far is pretty evenly divided.

â€¢	The existence of the prime material plane probably makes it easier for me to become a godâ€”all kinds of weird nonsense happens here.

â€¢	Light is HORRIBLE, and it doesnâ€™t travel that well in water.

â€¢	This whole place might just be a haven of idiocy and nonsense from which nothing being base amusement and pain can come.


I might use this [[:Category:The Danger Gang|Danger Gang]] escapade as a test.  Earlier I wrote that they were fools who lived a life of luck, and that their luck may have run out.  Now I think they might be divinely-lucky, holy fools if you will.  Hereâ€™s why.

After the fight I had to reestablish my place in the group, as the rules of the game had changed.  The one person here who seems to care the most about oaths and rules and who should have understood this was pissed because his best bud had died and I had his sword, so he tried to kill me.  Some wind was wasted on the occasion, but I got my place in the group re-secured on new grounds.  
So, after this fight where they got their tuchases handed to them they probably should have rested, or given up hope, or something.  Instead they charged into another fight where they almost died again.   I withdrew after almost dying myself (No reason to go back to the shadow plane so easily).  Nothing rational could have suggested this course of action to them, and by all rights their party should have ended there, and I should be lost in this wretched place.  Instead they won, battered and beaten.  Then they went after Harivarma himself.  In that state!  They know how powerful this dude is, because he chumped out the chump that almost killed them just a few seconds ago.  Lunacy!  

The thing is, they didnâ€™t die.  They got in a little fight, gave up some information, and were let go.  How is this possible?  If Iâ€™m right, itâ€™s because some god smiles on this group of adventurers.  Maybe this makes â€˜em holy fools, and not just fools.  If thatâ€™s right then, well, a few things.
First, even if I donâ€™t agree with them I should stick around because they might know how to help me become a god myself
Second, their god might be pretty flipping powerful to keep them alive if theyâ€™re always acting this rashly.  If so, I want to be on his side when this whole cosmic-war thing plays out.  

So hereâ€™s my plan.  If past behavior is any predictor, these fooligans are going to try to fight back, somehow.  If they succeed, Iâ€™ll be convinced theyâ€™ve got some divine hand helping them.  If they fail, Iâ€™ll know that itâ€™s time to get out of dodge.  There are some folks in this Ool place that might have the ear of one of the gods on the other team.
