July 12 - 20

After enlarging some new dragonfly mounts, we continue on our long, disease-ridden jungle safari.  Although we do our best to avoid any [[Elephant birds]] or other such horrors, we are attacked by a [[Gryphon]], a bunch of [[Giants]], some flying snakes, a horde of posessed gorillas, a lot of ants,  and a whole bunch of undead following a [[Living Idol]].

On the 16th we encountered a sneaky, white-haired dwarf who wanted revenge against [[Harald]]. His name was [[Hovo]] Tralanana, and he had a ring-tailed lemur named Zaza on one shoulder and a Good-aligined outer planar being that looked like an elephant head on a dinosaur body on his other shoulder. It referred to itself as a [[Boco]] when it was telepathically talking in our brains. [[Hovo]] got ready to attack [[Harald]], mentioning his fellow villagers being massacred. [[Harald]], who is pretty used to this sort of thing by now, rolled his eye and talked [[Hovo]] down with the tale of his many clones. The [[Boco]], who seemed to be in charge, got much bigger and told us that a very pale and sun-avoiding [[Harald]] looking guy had come to [[Hovo]]'s village in the hills of Madagascar in a boat with some Arab traders. He killed everyone in the village by rending them limd from limb with his bare hands, then he stole a different boat and left, sailing west. They have been following him since. [[Harald]] said that this guy might be [[Attigot]], or it might just be a new [[Vampire Harald]]. We parted as friends. 

Around the 19th we at last begin to see signs of civilization, but as we are an odd-looking bunch, we decide to keep to the trees.  One of the villages had been apparently invaded and destroyed (not by us) but as the inhabitants were nowhere to be found, we decide to push on.
