View source for The Danger Gang Meet A Cat And A Weirdo

The [[Danger Gang]] has been sailing for several days. They eventually encountered a few islands, though none of them seem to be the one they're looking for. [[Martialis]] tells them that [[Eorl]] had told him about being stuck on these islands for something like a year. It is very important that they don't loose their boat. 

While on watch in the wee hours, [[Karl]] and [[Ezio]] notice a cat stuck in the rigging of the ship. This is highly unusual. They wake up Marty who turns into a cat and talks to the little fella. He says his name is [[Puff]] and that he came here with a fella he called 2 Legs. [[Kolya]] points out that their mooring has been cut. They scour the ship, but can't find anyone who doesn't belong. They cut Puff loose and give him to [[Kerasa]] and [[Hush]] to play with. They wake half the crew to have them row to keep the boat from drifting. 

The next mourning they find themselves near another island, and a beardo starts yelling at them. He says his name is [[Philo]], and he wants to be friends. Marty strongly urges everyone not to pick him up, so they sail away. 

They sail by an island with some ascetic monks. They point us towards an island that aint quite right. Marty asks a few dolphins and they lead us to another couple of islands. Marty has been changing into a bird and flying ahead to scout the islands they've been looking at. He flies towards one and gets jumped by a pair of [[Chimera]]. He quickly dives into the ocean and turns into a porpoise, but then he gets attacked by an electric eel. He's faster than the eel, though, so he gets away. The gang heads back to the island and takes care of those Chimera; Ezio is very excited to use his lightening bolt.

They decide against exploring the rest of the island, as they know it's not the one they're looking for. They rest for the day, and that night, [[Kolya]] reads the stars to get a bearing. He says they're still too far north.
