Kerry: Maggie, please unprotect this page. I want to change some stuff, and I think Adan has calmed down. If your first response is "Tell me what you want to change, and I'll think about it", then I refer you to the disclaimer found at the bottom of each edit page. If you don't like my changes, you can change them back.
Maggie: Hey, no problem. I protected it so Adan and ET would have time to talk things out about Ikulu's list and not mess up the Recent changes page every 2 minutes. Unprotecting now.
thecomicman: i was about to add Ikulu's List back to the main page, but i like this Texts page idea much better.
Kerry: Yup, I'm awesome.
SMP asks: Is there a place in the wiki (or elsewhere) for good resources for building new characters? A "links to useful stuff for the hopping 980s"? If not, is there a good reason not to put such a page in, linked perhaps to the Rules for New Characters or the Talk:Texts page? I know anachronisms, unsuspended disbelief, and OOC knowledge are good reasons, but I think such stuff could be kept to a page that's already meta-game.
I don't want to encourage rampant OOC knowledge, but would like to provide some shortcuts to basic in-character knowledge, like what my character is probably wearing, what (normal, plot-irrelevant) people he encountered on his way to meet the party, what he likes to eat, and what he passes his magic off as (if he shows it at all). Stuff like that.
Kerry: Add away. It sounds like a good idea, and anyways, this is a Wiki. Feel free to add first and then wait for someone to complain. It seems to be the normal mode here.
Kerry: Hey Maggie, I have to reload each page several times to get it to display properly. Any ideas on why? I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.2
Melanie: I've been having the same problem for the last several days, also using firefox and Safari
