The City of Snakes is in India, formerly home to snakes with human faces, but, rumor has it, it has now been abandoned.
Also, according to our bard, Af-af: It was the home of the Naga, who left it to form colonies in the East and the West. One Western colony was the City of Silence. This migration explains the Hindus in Russia, as well as other mentions of Indian gods far from India.
