Odo, twin brother of Ulrich (maybe), originally hail from Jerusalem. They are orphans of German origin who were taken in by Mustafa Muhammed a kindly childless man in Jerusalem...childless because he was a Eunuch. Not the type to let a minor disfiguration get him down, Mustafa turned his handicap into a revenue stream, becoming Jerusalem's 'Caliph of Castration' Mustafa Muhammed & Sons, General Surgeons. Mustafa also ran a Shawarma stall in the Bazaar.

Mustafa, with Odo and Uli as assistants, castrated guards for the hippest harems, sheep from the finest flocks and bulls of the best, uh...caliber. Odo and Uli nurtured each other's inner rogue. It all began by stealing a bit of goat's milk here, a bit of harem jewelery there, eventually Odo and Uli were fencing left over testicles the local mystics. Odo was always the more 'impetuous' of the two. His chaotic alignment eventually destroyed Mustafa's business and reputation when he revealed Mustafa's secret Shawarma, and 'special tahini' recipes to the local Emir. It was around this time that Odo and Uli heard the tale of Mamun Muhammed al Muhammed Ali Muhammed's theft of the heart of Ayesha. They dropped their bucket of testicles and began the trek to Abysinia
