He thought to bring back his wife, possibly by transfering her brain into the body of his daughter. According to Nyoka he died in the jungle, leaving her to become a beastmaster devoted to killing all humans who entered he lands. As there is no body and the only source of info on his death is an insane daughter who hasn't communicated with a human for ten years Maraduth's death is highly doubtful. The Welsh Party was looking for him in order to kill him. His son currently rules in Powys.
