The Danger Gang finds themselves at the foot of the imposing Mt. Tomor. They skipped the Bulgar controlled town of Pulchropolis, and instead start climbing right up. Martialis casts Air Walk on Barry who goes on ahead with a rope to help the other ascend. Luckily, he tied the rope on to something, because he gets assaulted by an Air Elemental of some sort that tries to throttle him and throw him over the mountain.

A mighty battle ensues in which several of our stalwart warriors are almost thrown to their deaths, always to be saved by their luck, wits, and friendship. The Air Elemental is soon defeated and returned to his home plane. Can whips up one of his trademark Secure Shelters while Marty flies off in the form of an eagle to get the lay of the Mountain. While ascending, he encounters several giant eagles accompanied by an even gianter eagle. They ask him if he intends to bother the Baba, but Marty tells them he's just looking around or something. They leave him alone. Marty returns to tell the others what's up. They try to grab a few z's before the continuing their ascent.

The wind begins to really howl outside the Shelter, but they can also hear a hammering noise. Barry sticks his head outside and sees group of Dwarves wearing bandannas, their left arms clad in a sort of plate mail. They are hammering at the ledge upon which the shelter rests. Can tries to catch them in a web, but they seem to have really good saves versus spells. Only two get caught. Quickly they extend their left arm and a mighty blast of wind shoots out of their hands. Marty rolls out of bed irritated and summons a couple of the poison newts he keeps hearing so much about to go fight some of these clowns. One of the dwarves gets really ill from a bite, but the newts are dispatched quickly. Marty then enlarges a few ants. Then everybody realizes they need to take this a little more seriously, so they all step out into the fray. There is much fighting. One of the dwarves tries to escape down a little hidey hole in the side of the mountain, but Can chases him and eventually stabs him to death. The gang gathers up the injured and the dead dwarves and bring them into the cabin for interrogation.

Fortunately, one of the dwarves speaks Greek. His name is Robaki windhammer. He and his friends serve Baba Tomor. The Gang explain that they are quite interested in meeting the gentleman in question. Robaki explains that they could have met with him if they just came ten days ago during the festival of Baba Tomor. He then explains that there are only three things that Baba Tomor wants in this world: for Albania to be great, to be young again, and to have the love of the Earthly Beauty. They tell Robaki that they have a gift that the Tomor can give to the Earthly Beauty, if he would be kind enough to grant them an audience; that gift is the Earthly Beauty's hair. They give Robaki a few strands to bring up to the Tomor and tell him that he can have the rest if he'll meet with them. Robaki agrees, reluctantly.

Robaki scuttles up the mountain while the gang tend to their prisoners and then hit the sack.
