Evelake graciously accepts Lady Thora's surrender in a very genteel and non-violent fashion.
Basil Digenis takes out Bui Digre in a back and forth hack and slash. Bui is disappointed that his really cold sword fails to affect Basil.
Hildigund taps out during a close fight with Richard, son of Odo. He doesn't pull any punches this time.
To no one's surprise Droolmouth beats the hell out of nude dwarf Hovotrolonana.
The Jomsvikings have no luck, or else Knurri Murre is using his troll-craft to realize his secret desire of taking down all of his party members. However, he is thwarted by Thorkill the High, who goes immediately berserk and beats him down in an out of tournament fight.
In another stroke of bad luck Harald draws Ogrid, who concedes without a fight.
Akim kills two jackals, a baboon, two eagles, and an air elemental before he gets around to actually fighting Robia. She succumbs to the euphoria gas given off by the Sword of the Dragonet.
The Sixfold Crystal (whoever he may be) punches the tar out of Walid in the first round without breaking a sweat. Walid (wisely, some say) yields at the outset of the second combat round.
Vselov and Bevis of New Hampton fight seemingly forever, demonstrating that Vselov has way too many hit points. It comes down to the wire, but a Programmed Illusion saves Vselov's bacon, and Bevis fails his Con check before he can take his revenge.
In another nail-biter of a battle Orm narrowly defeats Hassan Azam. That boy is tougher than he looks.
Jan Seyoum earns the enmity of the Bogatyrs by killing Svyatogor with his no-save instant death touch. Harald breathes a sigh of relief (perhaps prematurely).
Fazel beats down Majid al Dinn, who, despite cleverly sanctifying the arena itself as a temple to his Dark Master (and arranging to be resurrected on the spot, should he fall in combat), stood little chance against Fazel's spell-interrupting scimitar of speed.
In a strange nerd-versus-goth battle, Themistoclea pushes past a host of spectral warriors (no pun intended) and some kind of maggot-man to defeat John Crescentius, dealing the round-ending damage with a thrown dagger.
Ever the slave to practical mathematics, a cocky Sumarliv is forced to yield upon discovering that Ilya Muromets not only deals way more damage than he does, the Bogatyr also has more hit points.
Kolya knocks Victor out by winning initiative on the round he would've had to to save vs. death.
Xanax pounds down Khan Kurias in a long fight full of bad luck for the crazy druid. That hammer is pretty boss.
