A Beholder, or more accurately, a Spectator, the Arben befriended in the tombs at Aege. While B and the Danger Gang were at odds initially, they eventually became friends (despite the D.G. beating him to the point that he was sent back to Nirvana). Arben offered him employment at the inn he was planning to open, and, finding his clockwork homeplane to be a little staid, he decided to take him up on the offer. Unfortunately, you can't just quit your job at Nirvana, and now the powers of his home plane are after him. Fortunately, he claims that they're caught up in red tape now that they drones sent after him have been defeated. Who knows how long the red tape will last...?
Interesting side note, should B ever lose one of his eye stalks, it would not regenerate unless he returned to his home plane.
