A mix creature with the head of a bull on the body of a human. Originally from Crete, the first one was born of King Minos' wife copulating with a bull because she thought it was Zeus in disguise.
Half of the Island Party encountered one on the Greek Islands. Thalia destroyed it in single combat and Reynaldo picked up the sweet axe (see Items of Note) it left behind.
The Following Alexander Party encountered a mummified one in the Dungeon by Granatas River that had a vampiric axe.
Apparently, there are tons of these guys all over the world and each one of them has a magic axe (the only exception so far being the one on Samothrace).
