Kerry: Hal may correct me, but I believe that you get the XP for level 3 in the higher XP class and then divide it in half to determine the starting levels. This makes a thief/mage 3/2, and most other combinations 2/2.

thecomicman: now wait a goldurn second here! Rey's stats are like that because of his racial bonuses. that is the only reason he has two eighteens. every other stat is a perfetly normal stat! c'mon,a fucking ten on CON? if i'd made that shit up, i would have given him at least a 16 so that he'd have more fucking hit points! this is utterly outrageous. outrageous, i say!
