Eorl, jealous of Can and Arben's adventure opportunity on their hunt for the Bloodstone decides to go track down some adventure himself. He grabs Leo and Ezio from the library as well as Ulf and Perun, who don't appear to be doing anything, and the always up for excitement Oeonoe and tells them they're off to Abados to find the famed lighthouse of Hero. He barters with the Bab al-Nasr for a ride in the S.S. Falcon in exchange for a percentage of the loot found. He agrees.
Captain Ali sets sail and they arrive at Abados before they know it. Unfortunately, there's no light house. The townspeople agree that they must be thinking of Cestus across the way. They sail over there and Ezio tracks down a lead to the ruins of the old lighthouse outside of town. They head out into the marshlands.
In the brackish water they see a cluster of brightly colored flowers. Ezio chucks a rock at it, and it lands with a clank. Ulf and Perun investigate and it seems they are indeed made of metal. They're affixed to some sort of netting, and this netting is trapped in a trapdoor. They head down the trapdoor, gathering up the expensive looking net as well. Down the hole they find a triumverate of broken barrels. They find another trapdoor under one of those. Down that hole, they find a hallway, with a door that reads "Enter Not The Crypts Of Aphrodite Tropocardia, Sealed Away Since The 292nd Olympiad".
They ignore that and press on. For their insolence, they are greeted by a quintet of gilled undead. They take them down without too much trouble, despite Eorl being paralyzed at one point. They press on, finding several doors labeled different things.
There's a door labeled Aphrodite Morpho, behind which they find an amphora with a mysterious grey mud stored inside. They dump it out on the floor in the room main room that had the undead and cast detect magic; nothing. Moving on with their lives, they head in another door labeled Aphrodite Aphrogena where they find a statue covered in greenish-yellow foam. Two figures emerge from said foam, but are subsequently beaten up by our stalwart heroes. Everyone is feeling a little low on juice after that, so they try to rest. Unfortunately, three undead women wearing bejeweled armor bust down the door. They fight these guys, then agree that maybe they should head back to town to rest soundly. No sense sleeping in a dungeon when they're just outside of town. As they head back into the main room, they run into Captain Ali stumbling in the dark. He explains that the Bab Al-Nasr wanted to speak to them, and when he came to get them, he dropped his torch. Of course, the Bab Al-Nasr is back in Chrysopolis, but when confronted with this, Ali just acts confused. They shrug their shoulders. He says going back to town would be trouble; they should just rest here. Sounds reasonable. They go back to the room where they were attacked and rest, this time with the door spiked closed.
