Kerry: How is July 30th, a Sunday?
Hal: optimally, I would like to run a brief (hour or two) session with each party before the battle proper, to get them to where they fight. This would give people a chance to learn their characters' strengths and weaknesses, use up some magic item charges, etc. It shouldn't take long. This may, however, prove a scheduling nightmare, and we can forgo it if necessary.
Maggie: I suggested my house for playing this game. We could accomodate Hal's request if we play at my house, since it's big enough so that people won't hear the opposing team practice-playing. While one team is playing their 2 hour practice chunk, the members of the other team can watch movies or check their e-mail or play with cats or take a nap. As for timing, July 30th sounds good to me, but I think we should start on Saturday and play all weekend, well into the night. What do you think?
tcm: it has to be a Sunday, and only a Sunday. since the actual battle will only take about five rounds anyway, the twi two hour pre-fights shouldn't make the session go all night, or any of that nonsense.
