Harald levels and gets Teleport!

After a few weeks of Death Book study and potion making, Harald and Ailyll pop back to Basra to pick up Mamun and TrapoII. We commune about some possible alternative cures for space aids, and get some more info about our other side quests. We then embark on our teleporting adventures!

We first go to Merlin's Tomb, where we talk to some rocks about what enchantments were cast on them and how often they have visitors (Protection against elements and not often). Then we pop back to Falerina's Castle. Ailyll, the Giant and TrapoII pick up some shiny gems while Harald and Elf Prince turn tiny and attempt to loot Ferow's tomb. They follow some badgers down into the tomb where they run into a rather nasty air elemental, who ends up exploding them out of there, much to the dismay of the sylphs outside. Harald and Elf prince teleport away to safety with some of the tomb treasure, leaving the others to run for their lives. It seems Ferow was a famous thief, and he robbed the Pope once. In his grave were three arrows with curious spade-shaped heads, and there was a magical black stone in his stomach. The stone was fairly large, around 4 inches long, and roughly cylindrical in shape. It resembles a piece of the Spindle of the Dao that Harald has, which leads him to guess that it may be the Black Stone of Cymbele or something similar. One arrow was left behind. Ailyll and TrapoII barely make it out to our phantom steeds, and they ride away with constrictor Ailyll holding and unconcious TrapoII onto his horse. After five hours of riding the steeds disappear, and some angry sylphs surround Ailyll and TrapoII, demanding compensation for the desecration of Ferow's tomb. Ailyll makes some half-hearted attempts at weaseling her way out of it, then agrees to come back and rebuild them a nice mausoleum for the next year or two.

After a few days of stone shaping, plant growing, and trap setting Ailyll and TrapoII put together a nice new tomb, just in time for Harald to come rescue them. Hopefully the sylphs aren't too mad that we didn't say goodbye...
