Indira was raised as a Thug in India. She went along with the rituals, bathing in blood and murdering travelers. It was what everyone did, right? Still, as she grew older she began to feel uneasy about her religion. One day, while she was traveling with a small caravan, she met an old man with a tall green turban and a long white beard. When she looked at him a crow cawed, and then a cat and dog got in a fight. Indira knew that this meant she must kill and rob this man. That night she snuck into his tent, and took out her knotted cord. But she couldn't strangle this man. Her sobs woke him, and he realized at once what had been about to happen. Indira knew she couldn't return to her coreligionists; they would know she had gone soft, and crows, cats, and dogs tended to make noise around softies. The old man comforted her, and said he could help. He took her away from the camp, freezing the two other Thugs in the caravan with a chant. Her led Indira to a city by the shore, and placed her in the care of his order. It seems he was a Sufi initiate of high degree, and saw the good in Indira. She was taught the Sufi doctrine, and she learned some of the inner secrets. She reached her limits of understanding in a few years, and announced her desire to leave the sanctuary. Her teachers recommended that she travel far from India, for the Thugee have long memories, and a distinct distaste for apostates. A pirate vessel crewed by women was in port, and Indira asked to join them. A few rounds of combat with their leader showed her mettle, and she was accepted. She developed close bonds with the crew, and she was given the name of Cobra, for she struck swiftly and without warning. During a random encounter with a great white shark her left hand was bitten off. She replaced it with a hook, and is quite deft with it. With time she joined the ship's officers, and became one of the Widows. She decided to follow Priscilla's lead in joining with TrapoII, and hopes it works out.

Killed while fighting Throk, by Death Spell. Those jerks.
