Daughters of Allah

The three Gharaniq, al-Lut, al-'Uzzi, and Manat. Referred to in the Satanic Verses. These are verse of the Koran that Mohammed later recanted, claiming they were sent by Satan to trick him. The verses said that it was permissible to worship older goddesses, as they were the Daughters of Allah. Later, a vengeful Muslim djinn cursed the priestesses of the Daughters, turning them to stone and binding them to various caves and rock formations, one to each. They will be freed from this curse only by hearing their own name, which they have forgotten.
