Chris: As I recall, Kismet was the password to the local dice parlor and the game itself was called Destiny, for once the first roll was made, your fate was already sealed.

Noah: Kismet is another word for fate or destiny, apparently from the Turkish by way of the Persian word 'qismat.' While we could sit around Snacko's Snack Shack all day and debate anachronism, for all intents and purposes, they have the same meaning.

Chris: Alright, well, I remember saying the word "Kismet" when trying to get into the dice parlor and saying the word "destiny" when speaking of the game. I suppose that's what I was getting at...not so much you know, etymology.
