The Former Bloodstone Hunters Take Care Of Konstantia
After a full day of wheelboating across the plains of Losco, the party arrives back near Konstantina. They figure they should check out to see if those two Agathersi ladies they met took care of business. The Crimson Cutlass scales the city walls after dark and prowls around. The streets are empty except for a couple of Cyclops-kin guards prowling the streets. There's also a new, large, crudely constructed building now in the center of town.
He returns and tells the guys what he saw. I guess they've gotta take care of business. Luckily, Ido has a plan.
She changes in smoke and heads into town while Arben and the Cutlass climb the wall and get ropes for everybody to get them into town. Ido summons a Fire Elemental to create a distraction. He starts a fight with a nearby Cyclops-kin. Meanwhile, the rest of the party heads over to the large building in the center of town. The distraction proves to be for naught, because the back wall of the large building comes crashing down upon their approach and out pops a giant dog and a full on Cyclops. They start fighting. Fortunately, the baddies fall under the saw of Arben's Hypnotic Pattern. One non-ensorceled Cyclops-kin tries to wake up his big friend by chucking his club at him, but he misses. The party cheaply picks off the monsters one by one. Inside the building that housed the Cyclops, they find the two Agathersi ladies bound and hanging from the ceiling. One of them, is dead.
It's Katarina, which is unfortunate, because she was the one that spoke Greek. They interview the captured Cyclops-kin. He gives a little info on Tzar Simeon and his brother Tzar Samuel. Seems like Simeon is the boss of the Zoglatsi, and Samuel may or may not be his boss. You can't really trust info you get from Cyclops-kin. He says Simeon has beef with The Danger Gang becuase he heard they were allied with Basil II. Whatever. They tell the blinded Cyclops-kin that he'll be spending his remaining days working as slave labor for the people of Konstantia.
The people of Konstantia are quite grateful to the party. They give them a place to stay for the night, gratis. They take in the other injured paladin, Yelena, and promise to help her track down the missing Kosmin the next day.
