Agathersi
A Christian order of paladins, said to be descended from the survivors of Alexander’s Silver Shields who intermarried with the indigenous population of Dacia. For centuries they patrolled the western edge of the Taramul Kalalalt, keeping its terrors at bay from the world. But they paid a terrible price fro their service; bit by bit they found themselves bound by oaths constraining their actions, until they became more and more ineffectual.
Among their distinguishing features are their white plate mail armor and mirrored shields. They tattoo their hands and bodies to signify rank, and many dye their hair blue.
They are ruled by a council of nine, known as the Knights of Solomon, or Zgimties, each possessing a magical ring. The leader of the Knights of Solomon also functions as the gyula of Transylvania, owing temporal allegiance to the Hungarian king. They may be somehow related to the Masons.
Their name means the Much-raging.
