The Time
According to the chart you all filled out, everyone can play on Sunday, October 1st.
Backup dates (also marked as available by everyone) are 10/15 and 10/22.
So, the official Battle Royale date is October 1st. Let's all meet at 2pm at Sam and Adan's?
tcm: remember the part about me not being able to schedule that far in advance? we'll see...
Now that the time approaches, is everyone still kosher?
Noah: I'd prefer that Team A had 10/1 to do our run-through so we might "stretch our legs" so to speak, with 10/15 as D-Day. Our character assignments are as yet uncertain and thus we've spent little time on strategy. If such a move is generally undesirable, or threatens to throw plans back into scheduling Tartarus, I would be amenable to holding fast with 10/1, however, and letting the chips fall where they may.
As the run-though should be short could you guys not try to find a time to do it before 10/1?
Noah: 9/30 could work for me, I think, unless I've forgotten something.
Sam: works for me too.
Hal: Will Team X also be doing a run through? Because it can work if neither team does one, or if both teams do one, but it can't really work if one team does one and one doesn't, for sundry reasons.
ET: I vote for Team A to do a run through on 10/1 and then have the Battle Royal on 10/15. 9/30 is the Autumn Moon festival in Chinatown. I've been saying all along that I feel pretty strongly about doing a run-through so that I'd feel comfortable with the character.
Kerry: Since the run-through should be short, and everyone is available that day, why not do both run-throughs on 10/1? Dibs on afternoon, say 1 to 3pm or so.
tcm: wait, wait, wait. Queens is playing on 10/01, remember? now, if this thing really does take no time whatsoever, then we can do it in the morning and then game (but it's gonna have to happen before 2pm).
Kerry: Done before 2pm is no problem for me. I'll poll the others. Where does that leave Team A?
ET: Team A needs to get the 10/1 run through since Noah's out of town the following week and 3/4 of the team is in Queens party anyway, so it makes more sense for us to practice on a Sunday. Team X should work out a run-through for the following weekend of 10/7-10/8, as Queens party won't be gaming.
Maggie: I am not available for anything on 9/30. I can only do 10/1. 10/15 is ok for me still (but my work will be sending me out to LA sometime in October and I don't know yet when).
Noah: As of my writing this, it stands that Team A is having a run-through on Sunday, 10/1, and the Royale itself is scheduled for 10/15. Team X has yet to agree on a tentative run-through time.
Kerry: What time? Refer to my "dibs" above if you want to our preferred time, should my group prove able to assemble.
Noah: I am polling Team A for a start-time at 3:30pm...
Noah: I've received word from Maggie that she is not available for a Team X run-through on 10/1. Kerry, do you still want dibs?
ET: Look, Noah and I both essentially placed dibs on playing a run through on 10/1 and then Kerry suddenly decided that he wanted Team X to do theirs on that day as well. If you want to talk dibs, Team A had the 10/1 date first and should've been able to set our own schedule. At this point, Kerry qualified that he wanted the time *if* Team X could get together, and Maggie has declared herself out for the weekend, so Team A should just do our run through at 1pm on 10/1 and call it a day.
Noah: It does seem, at the moment, that Team A will not agree to reschedule for later in the day. What do you want to do Kerry?
Kerry: If Maggie is out then we can't run, and you may do as you please.
Noah: Ok, then Team A will meet on 10/1 as previously planned. The Royale proper is tentatively slated for 10/15.
Noah: Team A run-through was held successfully on 10/1. The result was that high-level rule adjudication makes my head hurt. Regardless, we remain on schedule for a 10/15 Battle Royale.
