Gwyn was born to an elven father and a human mother in the Black Forest of Germany. Her mother was a merchant's daughter of Irish origin and had traveled to Germany with her father after their village was ransacked by Viking invaders. Her mother married a young elven warrior and stayed in Germany after her father moved on to more profitable markets.Gwyn was born shortly after, and lived in the elven land with her parents.

However, her mother was ill at ease living alone among the elves, and soon longed to return to her native Ireland. Gwyn's father was unable to leave his homeland, but when Gwyn was eight years old her mother became seriously ill, and once again begged Gwyn's father to take them all back to Ireland. Moved by her mother's pleas and failing health, yet still unable to leave his kingdom, he sent her and Gwyn to a nearby human settlement, where he visited them when he could.

Gwyn lived with her mother among the humans for three years. Her mother was cheered by the company of other humans but, plagued by poor harvests and disease the villagers eventually drove them out, citing their pagan ways as the cause of their misfortune. Gwyn's mother was unable to contact her husband, who was away fighting against a group of bandits who had been harrying the kingdom's eastern boarders. She received no help from the other elves, so decided to return to Ireland with Gwyn.

They traveled for many months, eventually joining a group of Frankish Monks on their way to Brittany. Gwyn's mother fell ill during the crossing of the English Channel, and died before they made it back to her home town. Gwyn found herself alone in the wilderness, surviving for several weeks on nuts and berries before being rescued by a young initiate Druid named Myrillys. Myrillys taught Gwyn what she knew of the Druidic ways and, finding her an apt pupil, sent her to find a more experienced Druid to continue her training. Myrillys sent her owl companion Numin with Gwyn to watch over her in her travels.

Gwyn is now following Druid Ailyll as her initiate.

Gwyn is 5'3" with black hair and blue eyes. She fights with a scimitar.

She defeated Mercutia, worshiper of the Green Man in duel to gain her second level.
