In the Greek lands to the south, this pantheon of gods, Zeus chief among them, were worshipped and are worshipped to this day.
Later, the Romans, before converting to Christianity, worshipped these gods under different names.
This religion has many stories as to how the many strange creatures found in the world came to be.
