Pagan who converted to Judaism when she married Fikaros. Usurped the kingdom of Abyssinia from the Christian King Tatadim in 972. Known to be a great warrior and wise queen, and seems generally fair in her dealings.
Incidentally, the first queen of Abyssinia in almost two thousand years (Makeda was the last).
