Eorl brings his friends back to the dungeon and the explore around a little more. They eventually find a room full of coffins. One such coffin is labeled "Hero and Leander". Jackpot. They pry it open to find to skeletons. One is wearing an armband with one geartoothed edge, the other skeleton wears a garter with a little birdy on it. Only the bracelet detects as magical. They pour some water through the garter and it makes a pleasant bird chirping noise. Kind of neat. Eorl puts on the bracelet and starts gasping for air.

They continue their dungeon hacking and find a big diagram of the solar system. Written on it in chalk is "Ligeria pedia, Elycian Pedia, Nora" between Earth and Venus. They copy down the diagram and the notes, then head outside.

Once they get outside, they find that a woman has been accused of murdering her husband. She claims she just saw her husband, his brain is missing from his skull, yadda yadda yadda; it's the Son Of Proteus. They scour the town. When checking the docks, Oeoneo spies an Arab urinating over the side of a boat, this strikes her as curious, as Arabs are known to urinate sitting down. Leo grabs him by the collar and demands to know what the deal is. The Arab's face morphs to the back of his head. They start beating him up, and he morphs into a fish. Leo quickly grabs him and throws him back into the Amphora from whence he came. They start grilling him. He tells them his name is Harashef and he likes to eat brains. Eorl is just excited to have another interesting monster to have in his rogues gallery back in Chrysopolis. He seals him up tight.

Now, they've tried to use this bracelet to breath in the water, but so far all it's been able to do is make them unable to breath in the air. Eorl whips out his Merman Conch and gives it a mighty blow. A merman or two pop up and ask him what's up. He asks them if they know anything about this bracelet, and they say he should talk to old man merman. Oeoneo casts waterbreathing on a couple of them and they go chat with the guy. He says the thing has two parts, and the mermen near Kolkis have the other half. In exchange for this info, Eorl tells the dude that Barnacle Bashim has the Trident of Fish Command. He says that this is something that a lot mermen would be interested in.

They return to the surface and hop in a boat back to C-Town.
