The Danger Gang Auxiliary Meet The Oracle Of Didima

Following the rumors of the local yokels at Ephisius, the Danger Gang Auxiliary find the Oracle Of Didima. She's a crazy old woman with crazy eyes and she is crazy. A woman emerges from the woods (Eorl recognizes her as one of the Orthaens, now aligning herself with some other paganism). She explains that they must offer up something of value and write down their questions and the Oracle will offer her response.

Eorl offers up Hero's gold shawl and asks her about the text that caught fire when they were fighting the Orthaens. She tells him (a response?).

Arben asks about the location of Phillip IV's phylactery, offering up a couple of pages of spell book detailing spells he failed to learn and a couple hundred gold pieces. Her response is "Hemopolis. Criss Cross."

Cyril asks her "How may Andromache, at Athos, be cured of the curse she or it is under", offering up all the (meager) money he has ... and a month's growth of his horns. She is characteristically vague in her response: /What torments the spirit? The Flesh. Remove the flesh and remove th torment. Does that lift the curse? What torments the baboon. The paint of the satyrs. Remove the paint and remove the torment. Does that lift the curse?"

Everyone seems happy with this little exchange, and so they say their goodbyes, excited to begin the last leg of their return trip to Chrysopolis, despite Eorl's protestations that there is some kind of underwater dungeon, maybe with bullshit golden horseshoes in it.

Cyril will have to return after a month, though.
