A Harpy Delays The Danger Gang
After a good night's rest, the Danger Gang rises bright and early, ready to continue tracking down the lost treasure of Barnacle Bashim. However, they're not sailing for more than an hour when a big ol' Harpy comes swooping out of the sky. She ensorcels some of the crew, but Can shoots a Flame Arrow at her, which shuts her up pretty quick. She tries to bolt, but Can and Martialis take flight and chase her down. She plummets to the sea, to never again trouble sailors wandering amongst the terrible islands.
This be not the end of their woes, however, as a mist rolls in. Marty calls out to a couple of dolphins, and they lead the D.G. around for a bit, but soon a full fledged storm descends upon them. They end up running aground on some rocks. Marty casts Water Walk on a couple of the fighters and they drag the boat ashore, with the whole crew serving as ballast on one side of the ship to keep the hole in the hull above water. Soon they reach the nearest island. They collect wood to patch up the hull in the forests around them. Strange noises come out of the woods, but thats not the only thing. A wild eyed, emaciated Cyclops appears out of nowhere. It gets a few good licks in, but they're able to take it down without too much trouble.
Lleryn is real curious as to how this thing appeared out of nowhere, so he goes to check out these forests. He doesn't go to far into past the tree line when he disappears. Everyone agrees that they should stay on the beach for a while. Marty sends some birds into the forest to go look for him, but they disappear once they get past the tree line as well.
In a little while, they hear some groaning. A gravelly voice pleas for help. Everyone is a little wary, as this voice is coming from these mysterious woods. Marty asks the great tree if it would be cool if Karl went to check it out. The big tree says it's cool. Karl ties himself off and runs into the forest, where he finds an Anthropophagus bound with vines. He takes him back out the gang grills him. He says Lleryn beat him up and shoots the shit about coming from one of these other islands and loving the taste of human flesh. They decide to keep him tied up. Marty tries to locate object on Lleryn's ranseur, but to no avail. Soon, Lleryn comes back out of the woods looking confused. He insists they burn down the forest. Marty tells him that is wouldn't be kosher. They have gathered up enough wood at this point, so they camp out for the night.
