May 21th 8:00pm.

Man. So, you collector of these notes know that I bury them almost immediately upon writing them so that Knowledge can spring from the ground to the people of the future. However, I’ve kept the past few and every time I look at them I get this dizzying feeling. In fact, any time I think about the previous three weeks I get extremely confused. It reminds me of the time I made my bean pact. Maybe you didn’t know about it. When I left the real C-town (Constantinople) to live in the woods for a while I ate the usual—nuts, berries, and fungi. A lot of times, though, I’d eat these mushrooms and get all weird feeling in the body and weird thinking in the head. I did this an awful until Jesus started to visit me. The first thing he said was “never eat those mushrooms—you’re going to ruin yourself” I said “who are you to tell me what to eat!” and he said “I’m Jesus, who are you to question who I am?” and I said “I’m Diogenese, It’s great to finally meet you.” He laughed pretty hard at that and told me that I should stick to the beanpaste that I made for the poor. If it was good enough for them then it must be good enough for me. I started to feel a lot better after that, and my head cleared up a lot. But—yeah-thinking about the past three weeks really makes me confused in the same way.

Okay so, what have we been doing? Arben told everyone that the stick by the bowl was himself and ate more sandwhiches. Then he started talking about how Evelake knew about Eorl, and Semna knew about Eorl, so Eorl must be. But, he is. So, I’m not really sure this bowl actually makes you intelligent—it just might make you think you are. So we were talking about how Eorl might be evil because two people who knew him were evil? Look, it was really stupid and Zombres and Arben got in so many fights about it. I was involved in the fights but I can’t think about what I was trying to say.

Afterward we went to visit Dunstan. He was in pretty bad shape. We asked him a few questions and he responded. THEN we found out that he was dead and we were talking to his corpse. A priest had been talking to him before we came and then hid in the shadows. It was awesome! We were going to ask Dunstan to summon a time elemental but happily this priest will do it for us. He was into protecting England, and since we kind of did that for him he thought it was fair. He does this for us after we rest and then Zombres lectures at the time elemental for a while. We gave him most of the tablets of destiny so that he would put a note on Eorls back telling him not to do a thing that he didn’t do in the past. It seems like a pretty important gift to give for a joke.

Afterward we go to see these grey eye’d old ladies. Dr. S takes us through the shadow plane—WHICH IS TERRIFYING. I cast protection from evil 10’ radius on myself because I was so terrified. I kind of snapped at him afterward. I think I owe him an apology—he’s such a nice guy. We come out and these ladies tell us that we're right to have brought some presents but first they need a champion fight. Marcella is going to do it.
