So I woke up this morning, the 30th, and I made cursed beans for the first time. This must portend something, but who knows what.

In the meantime, we speak to the Nat for a while. Basically, they’re doing a lot to keep the naga villiage peaceful—it doesn’t come as naturally to them as they’d like. Reason being—well, it’s good for some peace to exist in the world as an exemplar and few people would take it were it made possible even under peculiar circumstances. For what it’s worth, this doesn’t make much sense. A part of the manner in which the town is made peaceful is magical protection keeping it from being scryed on and warped into an all that jazz. It’s not serving as an example to anyone except the Nats, in that case. Well, maybe the Nats get depressed and want to blow up the world, so it’s good even as an example for them. The world isn’t all bad—some snakes can live in harmony.

In any case, we want to save math but don’t know how. I bite the arrow and ask Jesus for help. He doesn’t like it when I bother him, but he obliged this time. Here’s what he said—in verse

it may sound like a pleonasm to talk about a deadly chasm

but utter ohm, control your breath and see the chasm next to death.

where danger lurks in golden armor and death stalks those of poorish karma

sons of him who rules that realm worried by some leather helm

worried more by old king primus want to know what his crime is

that he would need send off the wind a guilty [NAME NAME] find

who lost one half his face in tears and spins alone within the gears?

while some still earth's dark fortune's tell within the modron citadel

look to one who cannot be but one who nonetheless you'll see

seek this vital missing datum what is the one desideratum

None of this makes any sense to me at all. You can tell that he’s pissed be how befuddling in answer is. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think he were jealous of this necklace—ESPECIALLY because of what I’m about to tell you.

Okay, so we go to nirvana (the naga’s help us) and some guardian who’s employed by Rudra (his name was adjaikabad)comes to beat us up. We turn him into a toddler and get to chatting. When I ask him if my necklace is beautiful—he says no – AND HE CAN’T LIE! I have no idea what to make of this new information. Here I am trying to help some rocks feel like they’re appreciated by all of the universes living creaturs—to let them know they have a place and are thus better served helping us preserve those creatures than helping the octopods destroy everyone who could see them—when someone who can’t lie says they’re not beautiful. If these rocks don’t help us out, I can’t blame them now. I have got to figure out something to do about this.

Anyway, this adjakatabana guy, he’s a straight shooter. He says he’ll kill us, even if he ahs to kill himself, if we transform him back. So, we don’t. I like that kind of honesty. He also doesn’t help us very much to get to the clockwork land of the modrons (which, I guess, our princess is in another dungeon that is within nirvana which is a dungeon within a dungeon already).

We get there by spying on secundus (who is no longer secundus but a lowly modron—all of whom are now misshapen). He hates us and tells us to go away. We’re trying to find out which way to go when HAPPILY see, a friend of be, shows us to the eyeball quarter and offers to help. Basically, this town has two structures—one religious (a citadel) and one secular (a palace for primus to live in). There are invisible suns of rudra flying around on the wind in and out of the palace. In the citadel we can see a tiny model of the universe that has an extra planet on it. We know it’s extra because we got that rubbing from Pythagoras palace that no-longer-secundus was guarding. Also, we catch wind of a rumor that primus isn’t primus or something. I mean, the people one dies and another takes his place, so I don’t know what that even means. Is primus a person or a title? Primus is dead, long live primus? These people don’t make sense. They stick by their guns, but only the letter of their guns and not the spirit. I don’t like ‘em. I have decided it. I do not like modrons, not one bit. I’ll bet they think this necklace is ugly—or, no, they probably don’t even like beauty. Oh! Maybwe the like it because it’s in a shape with a lot of straight lines and symmetry. But, I mean, dare I ask them? I don’t want to hurt these rocks feelings anymore, and they must be wounded to their core right now.

Anyway, I think I can cast better spells now.
