A friendly toad living on the banks of the Propontis until he was swept up into adventure on the fateful day that Harald's rescue party asked him if he had seen a black woman leading a mule with a dead-looking guy strapped to its back across the strait. Turned out he had, and was bored of his mud-dwelling life, and so chose to join the quest when asked.

Took up new residence in Ido's bosom, and has since seen the world from Mt. Ararat to Jerusalem. Ido's familiar.

Not to be confused with narthex, a giant fennel in whose pithy interior Prometheus stole the fire of Olympus.
