Searching for a bath in Jerusalem
Haizea, Nisi, Lila, Famous Hamish, and Mamun foiled Wolkwo's plan to unleash the waters held in the Well of Souls, held in check by a rock with a name of God written on it. Then they wiped out a band of wacky Indian Jews who wanted to free Zedek, "the oldest god in Jerusalem". Finally, they found and bathed in the Molten Sea of Solomon, removing the curse that would cause them to disintegrate Harald on sight.
Haizea's Notes:
We teleport into a crowded storage closet in Jerusalem. On our way out Hamish massacres a few guards and we interrogate their dead bodies. They tell us an elf calling himself Harald the Second is now the governor, and Jeruselem is in chaos. Our special edition Ramses coins weren't popular, it would seem.
We meet up with our old Rabbi friend whose name I can't remember. Maeriddites are causing mayhem in the north and Abbuyites are spreading a Jewish heresy involving two gods and Simon Ben Barkoba. They have a sinister plan. Some Jews broke into the dome of the rock. They were sneaky but insufficiently so and were slain by the Genie that guards the place. Melchizitichites used to hang out in Armenian Jewish quarters.
We wander around seeking more info as Lila and Nisi go to ask questions to a wall somewhere. Shadowy Gregor tells us Melchizetichites have been around for centuries, and are now calling themselves Zedikites. Wolves are howling around the place where Knights were staying - Pontius Pilot's palace. Also the new governor is kind of strange.
We next go to check out the rec center but are ambushed by a Tailed Man with shiny beetle carapace armor and a flesh golem girl. We beat them up but the Tailed Man escapes. Inside everyone is dead. We do some more posthumous interregation but only find one semi-cooperative soul. He is Elyisaph, he voted against following the Chaldean Thonga(CT) and stayed behind, only to be stabbed in the back. The Chaldean Thonga is a swarthy man in gloves who persuaded Ahidfel(brother of impiety/insipidness) to join forces. CT went to seek the way of the last king of Juda - Zedikhia a (Zedik worshiper), the reason Juda fell. Zedik is the oldest god of this place, and by relasing him CT hopes to share in his power. They plan to do this by rolling away the stone of Solomon that entraps him. They went near the Damascus Gate. Those who follow the CT are Abbuyites, those who do not are loyal Melachizetichites. Zedikites are somewhere in between.
We of course immediately go to follow these pranksters into the dome. A helpful bat warns us of the poison that drips from the ceiling and we construct some makeshift umbrellas out of neighbor's shutters. We pass a wall that says Joakin & Boaz above two pillars that are carved from the wall. Not the real Joachim and Boaz, obviously, just an homage. We are then stopped by Sabiz Pash of the Dao, who tells us to go no further. Beside him there is a squished tailed man with a Mamruthish talisman. Mamun, fueled by a potion of gaint strength we got from the rabbi, beats the hell out of the genie and we explore the caves beyond.
We eventually meet a turbaned indian man running very fast down the tunnel. He's an icky Rakshassa so we beat him up and kill all his followers but one. He tells us about Metatron (Zedic?) and their nasty plans. He doesn't know the tailed man very well - he came to Jerusalem from India and wanted to join the Melachizedichites. They ran into a guy who spoke bad arabic and no hebrew who gave them info on how to free Zedik (Wolkwo again). He is called the Ill Rigger, and wanted them to assault the Dome of the Rock but they failed. He didn't seem to care much about Zedik. The Rakshassa's one surviving follower unfortunately died later as Hamish bandaged him.
On our way back we meet a much larger Dao, mourning the death of his brother. He demands lives to appease him, we all point at the Rakshassa who points at us. He smashes the Rakshassa and then (narrative ends as the Noble Dao smashes Haizeia).
We warn the Noble Dao about an attack on the Dome of the Rock. He lets us go after killing Haizeia. We return home.
