They look like mermaids but have a voice that enthralls most people who hear their song so that they can eat them. It is said that those who listen to the full song and are not eaten gain much knowledge.

Jean-Claude heard part of their song but resisted it when he was flying around the Greek Islands. The rest of the Island Party never encountered them.
