The Danger Gang gets some unsatisfactory answers from Arben
Arriving back in Chrysopolis, the Gang pepper Arben with questions. Beyond knowing that the statue is of Sumerian origin, he is stumped as to what it might be. Liten is no help, either. Norro looks it up and down and pegs it as Assyrian.
Arben has much more to say about Medea however, although he isn't aware of any traditions connecting her with magical ropes. Apparently she went to Bohemia where her descendants engaged in hilarious orgiastic rites part of the time and then repented of them the rest of the time.
Most of the magical ropes Arben knows about are from India -- the one that bound Krishna, for instance.
Norro rattles off a few facts about the Medians, none of which make them seem very enticing. Why would Isaac the Sungarian go looking for a bunch of goyim anyway?
Menachem, or Menashe, or Manasseh is a much more fruitful topic of conversation. Aside from the individual kings with that name (not to mention the king with that name who spent some time in the belly of a Babylonian statue), it is also, of course, the name of a tribe.
Armed with this knowledge and the knowledge that somewhere out there Isaac's bones rest to the east, the Danger Gang takes it upon themselves to head, well, East. Their path is likely to take them through the Caucasus, likely the same area where Prometheus is said to live (if you can call it living). This pricks up Leo's ears who demands to accompany them. Zombres relents only if he agrees to completely stay out of sight until they reach their destination. Leo happily agrees, but cannot help himself and immediately starts nattering about all the great boons they are going to receive, like Fire 2.0 ("if you liked Fire 1.0, you are going to love Fire 2.0!") Cormac opts to stay behind and copy spells, because, really now, COME ON.
And so, EASTWARD.
