Ar'ken is a 7'5 berber barber barbarian with dark tanned skin and dark brown hair. He lived peacefully once in his village as a barber until it was attacked by slave traders. Although Ar'ken and his village fought bravely, they were no match for the slavers and those that were not taken were not spared. Ar'ken had to witness his own family being killed by a burst of Magic Missle as the slavers took him away.

Sailing on the slavers ship chained up Ar'ken had lost all hope until the ship was attacked by a group that freed all the slaves. Once freed Ar'ken returned to thank his saviors and they noted that his size and strength might be useful. So the one named Harald challenged Ar'ken to a nude wrestling match where if Harald won Ar'ken would join. Although Harald was much smaller Ar'ken was easily defeated and slightly disturbed with so many groin grabs. But he joined their crew happily.

He now battles along side Harald, Ailyll, and Mamun. However his avid hatred for magic makes battles difficult and the gang has to find creative ways to distract or fool Ar'ken that what is around him is not actually magical. So far he believes the genie is only a creature and that Harald wears too much armor and is too scarred to be a mage.
