Kings for a day (or two)
We attempt to rest and regain our strength, but our sleep is rudely interrupted by a frantic messenger. He announces that the city is under attack by an army of Kaggen and requests that the king and his party go fix things. After some hasty preparations Harald, Yodit and what they can gather of the army go out to face the scourge. Ailyll runs up to the tower in hopes of calling some lightning. Her way is blocked by a djinn who demands that she fulfill the boon owed to Yosera by Nelenteyos by killing the two angels guarding the arc. Ailyll protests that she is not Nelenteyos and owes no boon, but the djinn is adamant. Ailyll decides that she would rather fight one djinn than two invincible angels, and calls lightning down upon him.
Meanwhile Harald, Yodit and a rapidly shrinking army attempt to hold the Kaggen at bay. Yodit keeps muttering to herself "I feel like I'm forgetting something". Our attempts to jog her memory are fruitless, and the fight goes on.
On her way down from the tower, Ailyll runs into Agav and they both head out to join in the fray. Things are looking grim, with most of the Kaggen still standing even after having two walls of ice dropped on their heads. A wall of thorns gives us temporary shelter, but we are running out of ideas. Yodit keeps insisting that we are forgetting something important, but none of us can guess at what it might be.
Just when we're starting to think that all is lost, fire rains down from the sky and in walk Jan Seyoum and the Abuna, carrying the Ark of the Covenant. Yodit cries out "That's it! I knew we should have left someone to guard the arc!". We make a half-hearted attempt at sneakily lightning bolting Jan Seyoum out of the picture, but in the end surrender to the power of the ark.
