Rainouart

The son of Abd ar-Rahman II of Cordoba, Rainouart (probably not his original name) was sold into slavery by an angry older brother, ended up, after many adventures, as a scullery boy in the palace of Louis I in Paris. He accompanied a French army into the Spanish Mark, was killed by his own countrymen, and reincarnated by an elven priest into a giant! Then shit got serious. Eating as much as fifteen men and slaying as many as twenty he took revenge on his brothers and was even briefly king of Aragon. Ended up in Avalon, where he fights for the Lady of the Lake now. What a comical figure he cuts!
