Rakshasa

A Hindu demon who devours humans. Rumor has it they can take on any form.

Ravana, the enemy of Rama, an avatar of Vishnu, was the Rakshasa king, until Rama killed him along will all the other Rakshasas of Lanka. He was aided in this by Hanuman and billions of monkeys.

The Byzantine Envoys fought one in the Tarot Dungeon under Novgorod. It had taken the form of an ape and had tried to destroy some very important books, the bum. Apparently, no matter what shape these things take, their hands will always be backwards (as in, the left hand is attached to the right arm and vice versa).
