Sea of Glass

A gigantic flat glass plane in the middle of the Arabian peninsula. About 1400 miles N to S, and 400 miles E to W. It gets very hot during the day, hot enough to cook people. There is a large structure near the middle of the sea on the Eastern side, and a sizable city in the South. The city was an elven city, abandoned then later destroyed by a herd of the purple worms who live under the sea.

The Tuariq say that in anceint times Keral Nethariun fought a battle with the Spider Queen and her followers, and that he blasted their once verdant land with heat so hot as to fuse the center into glass and turn the outskirts into desert.
