The Danger Gang Auxiliary Finally Finish Poseidon's Stables
After resting aboard the Iris, Martialis casts invisibility to animals, detect traps, water breathing, and a bunch of other spells and dives back in to scout around. The eels don't see him. He does some more scouting around. He finds a brass door that was dinged a few times, but was not opened. Unfortunately, the door is locked. He goes back and gets the of the Danger Gang Auxiliary. The next time down, he talks to the eel, and the eel says that this time they came in the right way, they just need a key and they can go in. They say they left the key in the boat. They go back to the boat; Arben memorizes Knock, and they return to the sea. They knock open the door and find a pair of large amphoras guarded by a huge Man o' War. Marty talks it into not bothering them and they grab the amphoras and return to the boat.
They open one of the amphoras to find it full of oats. Arben identifies these as the Oats of Immortality. He gets really excited at first, until he remembers that the oats don't make you immortal, they just don't spoil. Ah, well.
In the other amphora is a poisonous snake that almost poisons Arben to death, twice. Luckily Marty remembered to take Neutralize Poison. They chase the snake off the side.
Inside the jar they find pearls of varying values from 100-1000gp and some fancy pieces of coral. They return to Chrysopolis, triumphant.
Arben wants to talk to this Gebertus character before Marty leaves, so he has Marty Reflecting Pool on the gentleman, then Arben casts Magic Mirror. Turns out Gebertus doesn't know anything about this Crown of Dido that they're looking for. He tries to arrange some kind of meet up, since they're all headed to the Taramul Kalalalt, but he rambles on about how PC's shouldn't try to get high-level NPC's to solve their problems for them, blah blah blah.
Marty, his work here finished, takes flight to rejoin the main Gang. He gets as far as Samothrace before he has to touch down for the evening.
