The Danger Gang Auxiliary Teach A Shadow Dragon A Lesson...A Life Lesson
The Danger Gang Auxiliary rise from their sleep, ready to face their friendliest opponent. The Bugbears from the previous days are lurking outside the entrance to the dungeon. They take out two of them and tie up the rest. They take the gold bar back for good measure and tell them not to be such jerks.
They go to Ubra's mountain. They leave [[Mirella], Simona, Anton, and Marko at the base of the mountain and buff themselves up with assorted spells. Once atop the mountain, Ubra appears out of the shadows behind them and breaths his terrible Negative Shadow Energy breath. Luckily, Cyril and Xenon are both protected by Negative Plane Protection, and so they are able to start laying in to him. The bad news is, everybody else loses at least half their levels (albeit temporarily), greatly diminishing their combat capabilities. Poor Patricius soon falls victim to a terrible bite, knocking him down to a negative. Arben sends his trusty familiar to the base of the mountain with a note instructing Mirella to break into the cave and grab the Rod Of Shadow Destruction while Ubra is distracted. This proves unnecessary, as poor Ubra just can't get a break in this fight. He is soon knocked down to one hit point and fearing for his life due to the effects of Xenon's terrible scythe of wounding. He yeilds.
They tell him he put a great fight. They have a long talk about the nature of alignments for sentient beings, and tell him it's not too late, as still a young Dragon to turn his life around. They give him some blocks of gold. They rest in his cave for a couple of hours and Gebertus Teleports in. They tell him they have a Rod of Shadow Destruction for him, and he thanks them for their help. He tells them they've got another couple of days left before the Kalalalt, and they should probably go back to Ovadu's castle because he heard in some Divinations that there's a lot of great stuff in their that they would want. They say they'll check it out. Gebertus teleports back to his crazy, high level super-adventure.
They sit down with Ubra and tell him they've got the opportunity of a lifetime for him. If he can give them a lift to and from Ovadu's castle, he can get a share of the rich stuff and they can help set him up somewhere...less shitty maybe? Ubra seems interested. They heal him up to the point where he can fly and they all hop on his back. He drops off the assorted low-level friends they've made at the base of Mt. Ovadu and then drops them back on the Danger Gang on the roof. They tell him that if they're not back by sunset that he should punch a hole in the roof and then get out of there until dawn.
