The Danger Gang Gets Some Face Time With The Angry Jews

In the morning, the Danger Gang keeps their appointment with the mysterious Gideon. They meet him in the center of town. They find him with a familiar party; it's The Angry Jews from Rome. Awkward.

Gideon explains that they were sprung from jail by Zombres and they agreed to help track down the Gang as part of returning the favor. He says Zombres wanted to tell them that he heard that the Gang was looking for the Crown of Dido in the Court of Theodoric and that it's possible two individuals from the court might still be alive to give them some details. One is Theodoric himself, who went east to live with the Snow Queen Virginal. The other was a knight known as Vittiga who was chased into the sea and became some sort of sea creature.

Gideon also explains a bit of their backstory and the Gang apologizes for the misunderstanding. He also tells them that Zombres was looking for a cup brought to Baghdad about 500 years ago.

They continue shooting the shit pleasantly. That is until another Jewish fella approaches and starts busting Gideon's chops in Hebrew. Then he Holds him and puts two other Jews to sleep. Then he shoots a Cone of Cold at Can and Kotrag. Ehud attacks the Danger Gang as well, the rest of the Jews stand around confused. Karl and Barry go after this new Jew while Lleryn tries to fend off Ehud. The new Jew then turns into a nine foot tall black guy. Can casts Fumble on Ehud, which effectively takes him out of commission. The others beat up the big black dude until he turns into a mist and disappears.

The townsfolk are all a little freaked out at this point, so the gang and the Jews head back to the Tigress to discuss things away from prying eyes.

Gideon explains that this big black dude was named Kiram, and was probably some kind of Ogre Mage from Abisinia. He offered to help them get the Jew Face if they would help him get something else from Rome. He also thought they should kill the Danger Gang, as they already knew too much. Gideon disagreed, Ehud hedged until Kiram apparently Charmed him some how. They decide to split up in case Ehud is still under the influence. Gideon tells them that if they're going to look for Vittiga, then they should keep an eye out for a merman named Abdul-Adi, who they are friends with.

With that, they split up. The Jews are going to probably go to Rome to continue their quest. The gang sails up to Salerno, but end up docking in Amalfi, the next town over.
