The Danger Gang Keeps Fighting All These Tough Monsters In Cassandrea
Everyone feels fairly confident that they've seen the worst this dungeon dish out, having dispatched the Scaly Daemon With One Big Arm, and so the Danger Gang leaves Can's Secure Shelter feeling like cocks of the walks. They head back the room where the Daemon formerly resided and look around. Can and Karl fight over a really comfy chair while Martialis and Kotrag look at chalk board. Kotrag can't really read, but still, he's contributing. The chalk board reads:
1. Become Undead (check) 2. Blood Stone 3. Army of Undead 4. Horrible Revenge
Marty soaks that in while Karl throws Can out of the chair and cuts open the cushions looking for jewels (there are none). They go through the door that leads to what the Daemon referred to as the "Maze Of Death". They hear a dripping noise in the distance. They follow it, finding a well but, next thing they know, Marty has lost his memories of the last 24 hours. How humiliating! On top of that, he's lost all his memorized spells. They go back down a different hall and find a door labeled "Garden of Death". They definitely want druid spells for that, so they decide to head back. Before they head back, they hear a faint buzzing in the distance. Karl wants to go check it out, before they rest, because otherwise, they'll just meet it later, find out what it is while they're getting their butts handed to them, then go rest again. Why not eliminate the middle man. He hides in shadows and follows the buzzing noise, and soon sees a pair of glowing red and yellow lights in the distance. They start approaching him rapidly, and he decides to high tail it. "Glow bees! Glow bees! They're gonna sting me!" he yells.
"Those aren't Glow Bees! Those are Will-O-Wisps" Marty yells back. The thing starts zapping Karl. They try to swat at it, but to no avail. Their spells are futile. They start running, slamming doors behind them. The wee beasty is too fast. They finally slam one behind them and nail it shut. Time for a rest.
