The Danger Gang isn't about to get pushed around by the Kakh locals
Following a day of travel and certain that they must be close to the Caspian Sea by now, the Danger Gang makes camp for the night.
..Or they are about to, when five burly men approach, with long, curved, wicked looking swords hanging at their sides. They speak no Greek, so instead communicate through Agathon in broken Armenian.
Apparently, the five of them are Kakhs, and if the party ponies up 500 gold a head, they will overlook the fact that the Danger Gang are trespassing on their territory. Zombres (in essence) gives them the finger and one of them grows quite tall and indicates his doing so by saying to the party, 'beware, for I can grow quite tall.'
Zombres enlarges Kolya and replies that they can also grow quite tall.
A melee ensues in which the Kakhs soon fall victim to a Chaos spell and are dispersed. While the creatures seem to have the ability to become ethereal at will, one seems sufficiently cowed by a sword at the throat of his confused companion that he is willing to chat for a bit.
He introduces himself as Boccia and tells the party that, basically, there's nothing out there in the mountainous wastelands now that the Narts are all dead except Mount Elberez (where the one remaining Nart, who slew all the others, is rumored to live), about 15 miles behind them and the ruined Temple of Maga Irda, which, Boccia says, lost its treasure when the white snake lost its tail (whatever that means). He also mentions that the crazy djinni kingdom of Qof isn't that far away, maybe 250 miles south/southeast. He is ultimately rewarded 500 gold for his cooperation and the overall usefulness of the information, and he skulks away into the mist along with the remainder of his companions.
