The Danger Gang reach the Caspian and get beaned by cyclopes
The next day the Danger Gang return to the air, certain they will arrive on the banks of the Caspian in short order. They follow Karkhel's directions, giving Qaf a wide berth and within a few hours the shoreline hazes into view. Unfortunately, so do a half dozen full-sized cyclopes, who suddenly round the corner of a nearby mountain. They seem excited about something, and before the party can effectively act, much of the Gang is clobbered by flung boulders, and escape becomes a necessity. Zombres is able to sow Chaos amongst the ranks of the giants, who begin pummeling each other, but those who are unaffected give give chase. Several rounds of pod racing on a levitated tree trunk later and the Gang has made it out to sea, leaving the cyclopes far behind. Paranoid, they fly out of sight of the coastline before Kolya re-sizes the Magdeleon and they begin moving southward.
After putting some distance between themselves and the boulder-hurling giants, the Gang grows less timid and moves in towards the shore, revealing a broad wall protecting a mid-sized city of some sort. The Gang feels too beat-up to dock, so they drop anchor instead and rest. Getting squashed by rocks can take a lot out of you.
After a few hours, some giants -- of the two-eyed variety -- show up and start attacking the city. As much as it would behoove them to intervene, the party does not, as giants could probably rip them apart in short order at their current level of injury. Eventually, the giants get bored or are repelled and depart the city wall. The Danger Gang drops anchor and rests through the night.
