Large wolves with resistances to cold temperatures. They can shoot Cones of Cold from their mouths.
The Byzantine Envoys encountered a pack on their way to Polotsk. After Reynaldo cut in half three of the wolves, they were skinned and the hides were tanned in Prince Vselov's palace. Unfortunately, the Envoys left in such a hurry, that the hides were forgotten there.
Unfortunate, seeing as how the hides were cold to the touch and thus obviously magical in some way.
