Large wolves with resistances to cold temperatures. They can shoot Cones of Cold from their mouths.

The [[Byzantine Envoys]] encountered a pack on their way to [[Polotsk]]. After [[Reynaldo]] cut in half three of the wolves, they were skinned and the hides were tanned in Prince [[Vselov]]'s palace. Unfortunately, the Envoys left in such a hurry, that the hides were forgotten there.

Unfortunate, seeing as how the hides were cold to the touch and thus obviously magical in some way.
