After returning from our awesome Demogorgon fight we are visited by Baqir and Raheesh. They give us the skinny on Al Mansur, his lich pal Ibrahim, and the lich's girlfriend, Alferad. Seems that the lich has Solomon's Table, a magical gameboard that lets you mess with your enemies. We decide to help them free the Caliph, but first we open our efreet bottle for some wishes. Harald wishes Afaf back to life, removes his geasa regarding not killing Jon Seoum, King of Abyssinia, and wishes for information that will help us get the Caliph free. We get some good intel, including the location of the Caliph (the Alhambra), and a bunch of info on Solomon's Table. We prep a bunch, including the totally useless casting of a lot of Nondetection. We try to Teleport near Al Mansur's palace, but end up in a Ball of Force instead. We try to Teleport out, but end up leaving Ailyll behind in the bubble. Al Mansur, Qadir, Ibrahim and Alferad all show up, and we fight. Qadir ironically gets assassinated by Zulfaqar in round one, but then things go south for our heroes. Harald ends up summoning the Phoenix to save our bacon, which it does hanidly. Harald is mad because Ibrahim and Alferad escape after Harald cuts off all but one of Ibrahim's limbs, and we do get ahold of the Table and Alferad's magical harp of sleep. It's like a welcome back present for Afaf! Now we just have to figure out the Table's command word, and finish off Al Mansur. Meanwhile, Baqir and Aaqib Teleport into the crystal ball with Ailyll. They Teleport out immediately, back to the boat. Harald tells them to get back to the castle, where they can all rendevous. Baqir sends his genie out for another Teleport, and Harald tells the Phoenix to turn around when he returns to his body. Everyone meets up at the castle, where Raheesh relates that he and his gang were held up fighting Var and a bunch of Winter Wolves. We all go back into the castle and search while Walid, Nura, and Haizeah go to track Var, who is apparently teamed up with Qadir. Nothing is found in the castle, though we learn from Al Mansur's wife that he was visited by some Throkians a while (~six months) back, and since then he has been cold and distant. Physically cold, in addition to emotionally cold. Weird. We get Baqir to Reduce the rock that held the Ball fo Force that we were stuck in when we Teleported, and then he Leomund's Secret Chests it. We go to a tree outside of the city to listen to a smart parrot that Raheesh knows. The parrot says we should look for our baddies in Toledo, and also in the Tower of Yusuf bin Muhammed. He also gives us a crytic clue: "The man of iron and the man of iron; Cain's namesake and Juno's namesake." Raheesh says the Tower probably has Norse ghosts in it. Walid and company return and say that Var and Qadir's tracks head straight to said Tower. We split up, with Raheesh, his buddies, and Heizeah Teleporting to Toledo, while we hack the Tower. We make a meet-up spot in Toledo at the entrance to the Cave of Hercules (though no one tells us that is the name of the place).
Inside the Tower we find tracks of Var and Qadir. We enter a room with two Viking ghosts, some lips on the wall, a list of names, and a magic pool. The ghosts say they were chasing some nuns of Ataegina who escaped through the pool. If you answer a question wrong and step in the pool half of your body disappears, fatally. Also, the ghosts will kill any non-Norseman who tries to pass. Nura sneaks by Invisible to Undead, but she makes some noise and tips off Qadir and Var in the next room. They come in and we fight. Saiiq improbably turns the ghosts in round 1, and we take down Var and Qadir quickly (Qaidr is once again assassinated by Walid. Awesomely ironic). We strip and wake them, and get some stuff: A belt that turns you into a bear, the sword cursed sword Mimung, a furry glove that turns people into wolves if you hit them with it, bracers AC7. The stuff is distributed, and we read the wall. Here are the names on it:
- Rodrigo
- Leovigild
- Santa Maria

When we approach the pool the lips say "Who built it, and who rebuilt it?". Can you guess, oh reader? We did, and upon walking into the pool we find ourselves walking out of a different pool. We're in a new dungeon, and we run around exploring. We find a bunch of dead young mages-in-training, rent to shreds by barefooted somethings. We find a weird underground church building, and we are warned off by the Nuns of Ataegina. We Locate Object on some jive that Ibrahim the lich-face had on him, but decide to go above ground and figure out where we are before we hit him. We find a way up, and take out a giant Iron Golem shaped like Hercules. After that we exit via a cave, and see our friends Raheesh and party. Looks like we're in Toledo. We go back into the cave, and get near the lich. We spell up, and get ready to take these jerks out for good.
