Her full name is Ailyll Ysearinn. She is 5'9", very pale, with long, ebony hair and yellow eyes. She is 28 years old (after several semi-voluntary haste spells) and left handed. She was once the governess and close friend of the princess Asthria, daughter of Maeredydd Owain, disappeared several years ago. She went to Ethiopia, following rumors of the princess's whereabouts in hopes of rescuing her and bringing her back to her home.
Having found her charge Asthira and sent her on her way back to Wales with Ceridwen, Ailyll has decided to remain with the Following Alexander Party in hopes of saving the world from an octopus invasion. Asthira had charged her with the duties of the White Ghost, protector of the African jungle. Upon her departure from Ethiopia she passed these duties on to Stoneskipper the pygmy.
During her travels Ailyll has befriended Thiro, Shira, Jera, Mook, Rimii, Niiue, Senet, Meiar, Rinnin, Tem, and Morra.
She defeated Galmal in a duel to the death. She was defeated by an unnamed druid in Axum in a very very long spellcasters duel. She defeated Gayick in a duel near Basra. She returned to her home in Wales for her initiation as a true Druid where she defeated Rudderch, the least wise of the nine Druids in that region.
She has adopted three initiates : Anu, Gwyn and Niorei.
After angering Demeter she has fallen out of favor with the forces of nature, causing her to lose Gwyn to the Demogorgon, contract werewolfism, and repeatedly fail her saves against feeblemind.
Ailyll was killed by a were-wolf-headed-seal in what was probably Crete. The party avenged her and she was returned to life by the Fatimid Caliph. Praise the embodiment of the tree god called Allah! He also kindly cured her lycanthropy.
She defeated Drem and took his position as Archdruid and attendant to the Grand Druid. Anu and Niorei at this point left her service. Niorei returned home in disgust and swore to never adventure again, while Anu continued on in her quest to become a true Druid just like Ailyll. To replace them come Ellylw, Deirdriu and Haizea. The Grand Druid agrees to allow Ailyll to continue saving the world, as long as she returns every full moon to perform a service for him.
Having failed in her mission to kill Asophis she was ejected from the Grand Druid's service and wandered as a free agent until she defeated Bwlch in a duel for 14th level and became Great Druid of Scotland. She's working on her accent..
After traveling in the Plane of Happy Neutrality and meeting with Bellen, god of the druids, Ailyll has made it her mission to reform Druidism and oust Kithro who is perverting the balance of the hierarchy and forcing excessive lawfulness upon the druids.
As a sign of Bellen's will, she raised Standing Stones in Scotland and gave a speech to the druids of the region enjoining them to maintain the balance of the world by thwarting the Octopuses and not being too lawful.
