Setting sail early in the morning, the Danger Gang quickly arrives at the peninsula village of Athos. En route, Gerhsom puts a few glyphs on the side of the Kivot, as there are rumors that there are pirates about. He also asks G_d for a Divination, and he reveals there won't be too much going on. Still, Martialis is pretty interested so they head ashore upon there arrival. Monks (praying, not punching) come out to great them before they can disembark. They explain that women aren't allowed to set foot in Athos as none have been there since the Virgin Mary went there after Christ's death or some such. Karl offers to carry Zahrah and Hush on his shoulders, but the monk says no dice. They ladies return to the boat for some bonding while the others head to the library, Xenofontos. It's a good fifteen mile hike, so it takes a good chunk of time.

Once they arrive at Xenofontos, they all ask the local librarian questions about their own personal obsessions. Gershom asks about the fifty true names of G_d. Martialis asks about Ikulu/Igwulf. Karl asks about Garl Glittergold. Can asks about how to get to the moon. Kotrag asks for any information on how to cure blindness.

Meanwhile, the sun has set and Zahrah looks out across the sea, admiring Mt. Athos and its carved likeness of Alexander, when she notices a mysterious ghost city fade in and out of view. It's guarded by an equally mysterious ghostly sphinx. She asks Kolya if he can rush out to the library and track down the boys.

Meanwhile, back at Xenofontos, the librarians have found two responses to the querries of the Danger Gang.

1. Quinces are good for blindness.

2. They have one text that mentions Ikulu.

Everyone pours over the text and it is very interesting. Then Kolya rushes in and tells them of the mysterious ghostly city. They rush back to the boat.
