Maidens

The Following Alexander Party recently freed a bevy of beauties from the Castle of Maidens. Here's a list:

• Basma, cousin of the Emir of Aleppo. Happily home, married to Walid.
• Beiruzo, a very hot Arab woman. Now Harald's concubine.
• Chiyono, daughter of the retired Japanese emperor Reizei
• Cleantha, sister of Pope John XV. Returned to her brother.
• Dolores, a princess of the elves of Iberia. Returned to her parents.
• Elsbietka, second daughter of the Mieszko I, Duke of Poland and his first wife, Dobrawa.
• Gaidaa, daughter of Ziri, Maghrawa Emir of Morocco. Returned to her father.
• Gretchen, cousin of Otto III, the Holy Roman Emperor. Returned to the Court of Otto III.
• Gwynn, daughter of the king of Galatea. Returned her father, then resaved from a Nucklvie.
• Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons of Themiscrya. Returned to her home under her own power.
• Huiling, daughter of the Chinese(ie, Northern Song) Emperor Taizong
• Izdihaar, sister of the Abbasid Caliph, Al-T'ai
• Kannaki, daughter of the Tamil king Rajaraja Chola I
• Miriam, daughter of the late King Tatadim of Ethiopia. Harald's wife.
• Pharat, a winged girl who can turn into small animals. She speaks no known language, and refers to herself as a "Tavada". Kidnapped by Jamilla.
• Rebhid, daughter of the king of Zaghawa, a region in Chad/Niger/Sudan
• Robia, daughter of the prince of Tazahkstan. Taken to her home by Ibn Eunis, and persumably his wife.
• Sofia, a mercenary who we met before on the way back fom rescuing Harald. She was acting as body double for Amyllis, a princess. Bears a grudge. Went off on her own.
• Sparrowhawk, daughter of Sembat II, king of Armenia
• Tapuyen, daughter of Shenzhong, Emperor of the Tartars of Liao
• Therigatha, a nun from a Tibetian nunnery. Kidnapped by Jamilla.
• Udaya, daughter of Mahiapala I, King of Pala
• Xantha, a centaur princess from the Greek Islands. She didn't know humans existed until kidnapped. She has heard of the Island Party, but thought it was merely a rumor. Now a member of Gur's guild.
• Zara, sister of the queen of Palamut, a nation in Africa. Killed by Mamun when the Al Aziz made him a psycho killer.
• Zuleka, formerly one of the Daughters of Allah, made flesh when Harald spoke her name.

Bonus maidens were Khrosa, a patchwork girl from America who attacked and was killed by the party, and Penthila, a girl who had been turned to stone. We left her in the castle.

Note that Chiyono and Pharat speak no language that anyone else in the group knows. Look at the list and you will realize that means they are from somewhere either very very isolated or a very very small group of people. However, Chiyono can communicate by writing with Huiling.

Sofia left to return home to Asia Minor, while Miriam was taken to Ethiopia by Asterion, only to be reunited with Harald and the maidens later. Xantha left with Gur, who promised to take her back to her island home.
